WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES
This is a follow up to my previous post about Radagast-http://apollonui.tumblr.com/post/100531954578/warning-potential-spoilers-for-the-hobbit-the
At first I didn’t believe that Radagast would die in The Hobbit: tBotFA, but now that the evidence is everywhere, it all makes sense.
Radagast’s whereabouts during The Hobbit are never mentioned and thus far, it seems like Peter Jackson will include him in The White Council’s attack on Dol Guldur. The attack by the White Council is never really referred to as a “battle” because the details of it are never given other than it included Gandalf, Galadriel, Saruman, Elrond attacking Sauron. None of those mentioned characters die obviously as they all reappear again in The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. From a filmmakers perspective, you can’t get very dramatic and “cinematic” so to speak without some form of tragic character death occurring during the event, ESPECIALLY given that this is to be the most emotional of the entire Hobbit trilogy.
Radagast played no major role in Lord of the Rings. As such, Peter Jackson never included him at all in any of those films.
My prediction, Gandalf will go through some sort of death-like experience and Radagast will sacrifice his life doing some sort of “revival” for Gandalf. If you remember, Radagast tries really hard to revive the life of Sebastian the hedgehog in An Unexpected Journey so you know he holds that form of power to some extent. Galadriel, although powerful, may not hold this power as she is an elf and not one of the Istari, maybe this is the reason for her kissing a dead looking Gandalf’s forehead as she is in despair for not being able to do anything about it. Radagast will step in and revive him. Maybe the process will be too strong for Radagast to handle and it will kill him, or maybe he will be killed by someone (or someTHING [we honestly don’t know what to expect at Dol Guldur]) else just as the process finishes. Whatever the case, there will be a short emotional moment where both will be alive for the passing of the staff from one wizard to another.

Anyone else noticed this? It’s getting hard to tell which banners are fanmade and which ones are official.

Am I the only one thinking that Tauriel’s poster is a bit too airbrushed?

Ok, they’re nice posters and all but… You would think that they would at least pick a different pose.

Individual character posters are finally being released on The Hobbit’s Facebook page. Each day they give you a choice between two characters and you get to “vote” on who you want to see next in the comments.
They’re nice posters. The high contrasted lighting is very dramatic BUT… personally, I wanted to see epic wartorn backgrounds with Dol Guldur, Erebor, Dale and Laketown, but I guess the posters were meant to hold more of the “emotional drama” aspect of the film than the “action/war” side of it (even though the first trailer already captured it perfectly).
My guess is, once the last character poster comes out, they’ll release the next trailer. Peter Jackson said we’d see it in October.
After watching Maze Runner, i’ve concluded that Kaya Scodelario looks like the result of Anna Clendening, Kristen Stewart and maybe just a tiny bit of Megan Fox after a trip around a blender…

I do apologize for my lack of posting. There literally just hasn’t been anything interesting worth posting about lately… Not anything with The Hobbit anyway.
So until then, i’m just gonna share how EXTREMELY excited I am to see Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Astronomy and space exploration has always been a huge fascination of mine. In my opinion, this movie looks like it could be the next “2001: A Space Odyssey”.
I’m dead curious to know what kind of technology is going to be portrayed in his film. Looking at the circular design/structure of the ship, I can only guess that it’s a centrifuge that provides artificial gravity for the crew members. However, what interests me even more than that is the walking/shapeshifting black monolith looking thing. I’m guessing it’s some sort of droid or almost A.I.-like computer aid. Then there’s that massive mountain range-sized wave and the visuals, visuals and more visuals!! *gasp* [faint]
